On July 17th, after breeding a full book, Rowdy Yankee showed in the Reining By The Bay in Woodside, CA and won both the Open and Non Pro Derby marking a 232 1/2. He defeated some of the best horses in the country, including the 1998 AQHA World Champion Jr. Reining Horse and the 1998 NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion.
